Retrofit MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness - AN82.61-P-0001-06TAC
Actual status of Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) fiber optic cable wiring harness (7)
- Unclip cover (14) (no longer required) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow (arrow A).
- Release catch hook (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove fiber optic cable module of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) in direction of the arrow (arrow B) out of the fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) (no longer required).
- Remove the dust cap (24) (no longer required) in direction of the arrow (arrow C) from the optical conductor connector sleeve (Z35/11).

Shown on model 211.2
The fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) is routed forward starting from the left of the trunk.
- Insert black 4-pin coupling (6) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) into black 6-pin coupling housing (8) of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7).
The black coupling housing (8) is from audio gateway control unit (N93/1). An arrow is located at the side of the black 4-pin coupling (6). This corresponds to the direction of installation into the black coupling housing (8).
- Connect the black coupling housing (8) to the audio gateway control unit (N93/1).
- Fasten fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) as shown on left wheel arch to on-board wiring harness.
The green color coding on the MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) must match the green color coding of the on-board wiring harness (arrow D).
- Route fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) further to cable duct in left rear footwell.
Shown on model 211.2
- Expose the on-board fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) in the area of the left rear door cable duct.
There are two fiber optic cable connectors (MOST) (X39/50).
A number is printed at the end of each fiber optic cable module.

- Unclip covering (14) of both on-board fiber optic cable connectors (MOST) (X39/50) in direction of arrow.
- Determine which fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) contains an on-board fiber optic cable module with the number XX1 or number 4.
- Release catch hook (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove on-board fiber optic cable module with number XX1 or with number 4 from fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
The on-board fiber optic cable module with number XX1 or number 4 is no longer required and is to be strapped down in the cable duct.
- Install fiber optic cable module with number XX1 of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) into free plug position of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
- Determine which fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) contains an on-board fiber optic cable module with the number 14.
- Release catch hook (15) of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) and remove on-board fiber optic cable module with number 14 from fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
The on-board fiber optic cable module with number 14 is no longer required and is to be strapped down in the cable duct.
- Install fiber optic cable module with number 20 of fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) into free plug position of fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50).
- Clip on cover (14) on both on-board fiber optic cable connectors (MOST) (X39/50).
- Insert fiber optic cable connector (MOST) (X39/50) into cable duct in area of left rear door.
There are two fiber optic cable connectors (MOST).
- Route MOST fiber optic cable wiring harness (7) further into left cable duct in left front footwell.
- Route fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) from left footwell cable duct along parking brake cable (16) to radio recess and fix in place.
- Insert black 2-pin coupling (25) from fiber optic cable wiring harness (MOST) (7) into included black coupling housing (8).
- Insert black 4-pin coupling (6) from auto pilot system wiring harness (1) into black coupling housing (8).
Observe installation position (arrow).
