Operation

Pressure supply to solenoid valves

The oil (Pentosin) supplied by the hydraulic pump is delivered to the valve block (2) through a steel line. The oil passes through a pressure oil filter (2c) and via a check valve direct to the automated manual transmission clutch solenoid valve (Y90), the automated manual transmission control solenoid valve for gears 1, 3, 5 (Y92/1), the automated manual transmission control solenoid valve for gears R, 2, 4, 6 (Y92/2) and the automated manual transmission brake solenoid valve (Y91).

Clutch actuation

The automated manual transmission clutch solenoid valve (Y90) is energized by the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6). This initiates a flow of hydraulic oil, which flows through a pressure line attached to the connection (2d) and into the hydraulic central clutch operator to actuate the clutch.

Gearshift actuation

Depending on the gearshift required, the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6) actuates either the automated manual transmission control solenoid valve for gears 1, 3, 5 (Y92/1) or the automated manual transmission control solenoid valve for gears R, 2, 4, 6 (Y92/2). The solenoid valve responsible for the appropriate gear directs the hydraulic pressure into the shift cylinder, which actuates the central shift shaft and engages the required gear via the connecting elements in the transmission.
