Clutch travel sensor, function - GF25.19-P-5101-02A

Models 203, 208, 209, 211, 230 

Operation 

The clutch travel sensor (B53) operates according to the inductive (i.e. non-contact) principle.

The clutch travel sensor (B53) is rigidly bolted onto the housing of the hydraulic central clutch operator (13). The permanent magnet (15) is also rigidly connected with the thrust element of the hydraulic central clutch operator (13).

The movement of the central clutch operator (13) causes the permanent magnet to move past the clutch travel sensor (B53). This causes a change in the magnetic field. This change is evaluated in the electronics of the clutch travel sensor and the resultant voltage is transmitted in the form of an analog signal to the automated manual transmission control module (N15/6).
