	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by body parts being jammed or crushed. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by brake fluid spraying out at high pressure when working on the SBC brake system	Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.	AS42.46-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by drilling gas-filled assemblies or components (noncombustible gases)	Wear safety glasses and a face mask.	AS00.00-Z-0006-01A

1	Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.	The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: Select menu item "SBC Sensotronic Brake Control"/"Deactivate 'SBC' system". Then process all the individual steps from top to bottom.
2	Remove right xenon headlamp	Model 230	AR82.10-P-4730R
3	Unscrew pressure reservoir (1) from SBC hydraulic unit (A7/3)	Before opening the SBC system, thoroughly clean the surrounding area of the separation point. Even minute particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can result in malfunctions and a total failure of the SBC system. Collect brake fluid which escapes with a fluff-free, absorbent rags to prevent damaging the paint. In the process counterhold SBC hydraulic unit (A7/3) by hand. The thread on the pressure reservoir (1) and in the SBC hydraulic unit (A7/3) must not be recut. Installation:  Apply brake fluid to the O-ring of the pressure reservoir (1).

4	Install in the reverse order
	Clean
5	Use water to rinse off any escaped brake fluid
6	Bleed brake system with STAR DIAGNOSIS	When performing the bleeding operation always observe the instructions in the document "Bleeding brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS". The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: Select menu item "Initial startup after repair"/"Install new pressure reservoir for brake system".
