Cut out windshield with cutting blade - AR67.10-P-1000-01TS

  1. Tape up surfaces zones on window cutout on front edge of roof and left and right A-pillars with adhesive tape (2).

    NOTES Attach adhesive tape (2) to prevent paint damage.

  2. Remove seal strip from windshield (1) at top to front edge of roof with suitable tool.
  3. Cut adhesive bead and support bead on windshield (1) with window removal tool (area B).

    Model 212:  Cutting blade, Z-shape, cutting length 60 mm Order no.:6 39 03 081 01 3, www.fein.com

  4. Cut through adhesive seam on windshield (1) in connecting points on left and right A-pillar and front edge of roof with window removal tool (area A).

    Model 211:  Cutting blade, L-shape, cutting length 19 mm

    Model 212:  Cutting blade, L-shape, cutting length 25.4 mm

    Order no.:6 39 03 207 01 2, www.fein.com

    IMPORTANT Place cloth (4) between windshield (1) and engine hood to protect engine hood.

  5. Position cup suction tool (3) in upper third of windshield (1) and lift windshield (1) away from body flange.

    Vacuum lifting tool for special protection vehicles, cup suction tool gotis://K_67.0_03.0 

    NOTES Aid of a helper is required for guiding the windshield (1), otherwise adjacent body parts and the windshield (1) can be damaged.

    IMPORTANT When performing accident repair, check whether it is necessary to install a new windshield.

    IMPORTANT Detach windshield (1) from body flange in upper area first, then pry out upward.
