Remove/install windshield washer system pump - AR82.35-P-6002TA

MODELS 211.2/6 

Illustrated on vehicle with code (600a) headlamp cleaning system

MODIFICATION NOTES

14.1.04 Disconnect/connect/remove ground lead from battery
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1 Lift vehicle on lifting platform.
2 Detach right front road wheel TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA40.10-P-1001-01A 
3 Remove liner from right front fender IMPORTANT See: ↓  
Remove/install inner fender in front fender AR88.10-P-1300T
4 Disconnect electrical connectors (1).    
5.1 Disconnect electrical connector (2) on HCS pump (M5/2) On vehicles with code (600a) headlamp cleaning system  
6.1 Detach washer fluid hose (3) from window washer fluid pump (M5/1) When removing windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1).
IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.
 
7.1 Detach washer fluid hose (4) from rear-end door washer fluid pump (M5/3) On model 211.2 and removal of rear-end door washer fluid pump (M5/3).
IMPORTANT Collect washer fluid which flows out.
 
8 Disconnect electrical connector (8) from washer fluid reservoir (6) IMPORTANT To do so unlock the retainer tab on the electrical connector (8) and remove the electrical connector (8) downwards from the washer fluid reservoir (6).  
9 Unclip bracket (5) from washer fluid reservoir (6)    
10.1 Use a mounting wedge to push off the windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1) from the washer fluid reservoir (6) When removing windshield washer fluid pump (M5/1).
IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.
 
SPECIAL TOOL
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace seal (7).

11.1 Use a mounting wedge to push off the rear-end door washer fluid pump (M5/3) from the washer fluid reservoir (6) Only on model 211.2 and removal of rear-end door washer fluid pump (M5/3).
IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.
 
SPECIAL TOOL
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace seal (7).

12 Install in the reverse order    
13 Fill washer fluid reservoir (6)    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE Check windshield washer system fluid level and correct if necessary AP82.35-P-8210N
14 Perform function check on windshield washer system IMPORTANT Switch on ignition and check the function of the window washer fluid pump (M5/1) by pressing the combination switch. A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must spray out of the spray nozzles.  
15.1 Perform function check on rear washer system only on model 211.2
IMPORTANT Press the rear wiper switch to check the function of the rear-end door washer fluid pump (M5/3). A sufficient quantity of washer fluid must spray out of the spray nozzles.
