| 1 | Remove trunk floor covering from trunk. | ||
| 2 | Remove spare tire cover or spare tire well trim from the luggage compartment | ||
| 3 | Connect negative terminal (7) of battery (G1) by way of adapter line (8) to ground (circuit 31) (arrow) | ||

| 5 | Unscrew bolt (3) on battery control unit (N82) | ||
| 6 | Undo bolt (4) on battery control unit (N82) | ||
| 7 | Open lock (5) of electrical plug (6) | ||
| 8 | Separate electrical plug (6) from battery control unit (N82) and remove battery control unit (N82) | ||

| 9 | Position battery control unit (N82) at installation location and tighten bolt (4) | ||
