Open engine hood, move to upright position, close - AR88.40-P-1000T

  Opening     
DANGER Risk of injury. Fingers may get jammed or crushed  when removing, installing or adjusting hoods, doors, gates and sliding roofs. Keep all body parts clear of moving components. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Pull release lever (1) in driver's footwell to release engine hood    
2 Pull handle (2) out of radiator paneling to stop and move engine hood to normal position.    
  Moving to upright position     
3 Press locking lever (3) on left engine hood hinge (4) and press engine hood slightly upward NOTES Press engine hood upward so that locking lever can no longer arrest.  
4 Press locking lever (3) on right engine hood hinge (5) and position engine hood vertically.    
  Closing     
5 Lift engine hood slightly, press locking lever (3) on left hinge lever (4) and close engine hood    
6 Check whether engine hood is locked properly
