Remove/install on-board electrical system battery - AR54.10-P-0009SY

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury  caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground line (1) from the on-board electrical system battery (G1) IMPORTANT Do not disconnect the ground line from the starter battery.

2 Unscrew bolt (5) and remove bracket (4)    
3 Unscrew nut (8) and remove retaining bracket (9)    
4 Remove battery terminal cover (6)    
5 Disconnect positive line (7) from on-board electrical system battery (G1) NOTESInstallation:  Make sure that the positive line (7) is fitted securely to the positive terminal, otherwise the positive terminal and electrical system could be damaged.  
6 Detach vent hose (3) and remove on-board electrical system battery (G1) IMPORTANT If the on-board electrical system battery (G1) is replaced, the defect on-board electrical system battery (G1) must be disposed of properly. Refer to: ↓  
REFER TO FORMS Dispose of battery   OS54.10-P-0001-01Z
7 Install in the reverse order
