Remove roof paneling at side - AR65.10-P-1020-01SC

  1. Position metal needle template (2) on Y-markings (arrows) at rear on side of roof paneling (1) and scribe cut (area A).
  2. Position metal needle template (2) according to dimension (b) at front on side roof paneling (1) and scribe cut (area B).

    IMPORTANT Transfer dimension (b) from new part.

  3. Cut along broken lines using body saw (area A and B).

    IMPORTANT Observe sheet metal below.

  4. Expose spot welds on side roof paneling (1) and cut out (areas C, D, E and F).

  5. Heat side roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched areas with hot air gun and remove.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are foamed and bonded. Damaged foam parts must be removed and replaced.

    IMPORTANT For all other operation steps, observe information on pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

  6. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas using round wire brush on both sides (areas G and H).
  7. Grind all other mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas on one side using round wire brush.
  8. Remove grinding and drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
