Reset, function - GF54.50-P-2010SX

MODEL 221.0 /1, 216.3 up to Model Year 8

The contents of the "After start" (short-distance memory) or "After reset" (long-distance memory) display screen of the trip computer (RRE) can be reset manually. To do this, via the system selection button (S110s3) of the multifunction steering wheel (MFL) the menu item "Trip" is to be selected which is displayed as of position 2 (circuit 15 ON) of the transmitter key (A8/1).

The manual resetting of the "After start" or "After reset" takes place in the following sequence:

In all submenus of the menu item "Trip" by pressing the "Back" and VCS Off button for a longer period (approx. 3 seconds) (S110s4) the displayed and stored values can be reset without confirmation by the OK button.

IMPORTANT If the transmitter key is at position 0 (circuit 15C) or the transmitter key has been removed, all values in the short-distance memory are reset after 4 hours. If the transmitter key is turned into position 1 (terminal 15R ON) during this time, the erasing rate window (4 h) starts again if the transmitter key is turned into position 0 (terminal 15C) or removed.

IMPORTANT Once the short-distance memory has been reset there is not sufficient data available to calculate the fuel consumption correctly. In order to bridge this condition, during this time depending on the coding of the national version of the instrument cluster (A1) a value calculated via the vehicle-specific consumption is displayed. The display limit lies at 40 l/100 km.
