REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. see AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1 Remove trim from rear end center assembly Vehicles without code (Z07) Top protection see AR68.30-P-4600SX
Vehicles with code (Z07) Top protection AR68.30-P-4600SXS
2 Unscrew bolts (10) and remove locking eye (11)    
3 Remove left and right hinge bracket trim pieces (2)    
  Adjust in longitudinal direction     
4 Lift trunk lid paneling (7) at side on left hinge lever and right hinge lever and loosen bolts (9)    
5 Adjust trunk lid (1) in longitudinal direction Model 216

6 Tighten bolts (9) on left hinge lever and right hinge lever    
  Adjust lateral direction and height     
7 Screw in stops (8)    
8 Install locking eye (11) and adjust so that height of trunk lid (1) matches height of rear fender IMPORTANT Center locking eye (11) with catch on trunk lid lock.  
9 Tighten bolts (10) for locking eye (11)    
10 Mark contact surface of stops (8) with chalk and adjust stops (8) IMPORTANT Remove stops (8) until the chalk on the contact surfaces on the rear center section and the two rear fenders are visible when the trunk lid (1) is closed.
Do not slam the trunk lid (1), instead, push slowly into lock by hand.
 
INSTALLING Install

12 Install hinge bracket trim pieces (2)    
13.1 Calibrate backup camera On vehicles with code (218) Backup camera see AR54.65-P-0022SX
