Basic setting for rear side window - AR67.30-P-4200-07SC

Checking 

1. Move rear side window (1) and window (2) in front door to upper end positions, close front door and check dimension "b" between rear side window (1) and window (2).
2. Mark immersion depth of rear side window (1) in roof frame seal (3) on outer side of rear side window (1).

   Install one marking each in front area and one in rear area of rear side window (1) below roof frame seal (3).

3. Lower rear side window (1) and measure immersion depth of rear side window (1) in door frame seal (3).

   The rear side window (1) should immerse approx. 9 mm in the roof frame seal (3).

   The upper edge of rear side window (1) should run almost parallel to the retaining rail on the roof frame seal (3), whereby a deviation of 1 mm is permissible between the two measuring points.

   The visible edge of the protective foil between the two windows is not an adjustment aid.

   Adjust 

   Remove center paneling on rear side paneling for basic setting of rear side window (1).

4. Pull damping mat to side (4) and expose damping material (5) in area shown.
5. Separate prepunched covers from damping material (5).
6. Lower rear side window (1) until bolts (6, 7) are accessible and loosen bolts (6, 7) as well as nuts (8).

7. Move rear side window (1) to dimension "b" and ensure that retaining rail on roof frame seal (3) is parallel and tighten bolts (6) slightly.

   The rear side window (1) should make contact at the front of the power window mount. Adjust parallel to retaining rail on roof frame seal (3) by raising or lowering at the rear lift support point.

8. Move rear side window (1) to upper end position, close front door and again check dimension "b" between rear side window (1) and window (2).
9. Mark immersion depth of rear side window (1) in roof frame seal (3) on outer side of rear side window (1).
10. Lower rear side window (1) until bolts (7) are accessible and measure immersion depth of rear side window (1) in roof frame seal (3), repeat adjustment if necessary.
11. Move rear side window (1) to upper end position, enter vehicle and close front door.
12. Press height adjuster on nut (8) upward against stop and tighten nut (8).

    This ensures that the height adjuster makes contact with the limit stop on the rear side window (1).

13. Lower rear side window (1) until bolts (6) are accessible and tighten bolts (6, 7).
