	Remove/Install
	Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	see AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003H

2	Open engine hood and move to upright position		AR88.40-P-1000H
	Risk of death.  Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	see AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
3	Lift vehicle with lifting platform
4	Detach lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105H
5	Remove front section of fender liner in front fender	Left and right side	AR88.10-P-1310H
6	Unclip outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14)
7	Separate front PTS separation point (X26/27)	First of all open catch.
8	Unscrew bolts (5) and remove vent cover (4)
9	Unscrew bolt (6) of rear vent cover (4)
10	Unscrew bolts (7) from bumper (1).
11	Unscrew bolts (8) in front wheelhouse	Three bolts each in left and right wheelhouse.
12	Pull bumper (1) to the front out of the side guide	A second person is needed. Do not damage paintwork.
13	Install in the reverse order
