	Disassemble
1	Remove/install outside rearview mirror	Assemble new outside mirror from individual parts.	see AR88.70-P-9000CW
2	Remove covering on outside rearview mirror		see AR88.70-P-9040CY
	Assemble
3	Install foam rubber (1) on cast iron bearing (2)
4	Insert cast iron bearing (2) into cover (3) and arrest
5	Install seal (4) on cover (3) and arrest
6	Grease contact surface between cast iron bearing (2) and base plate (7).		see *BR00.45-Z-1085-06A
7	Remove transport retainer (5)	Observe marking (arrow) on folding mechanism (6) to base plate (7), do not change position. If the base plate (7), pin (8) or spring (9) should fall out of the folding mechanism (6), first insert spring (9), then pin (8) and then base plate (7) into the folding mechanism (6).
8	Grease contact surface between cast iron bearing (2) and base plate (7)		see *BR00.45-Z-1085-06A
9	Install cover (3) on folding mechanism (6)	Manually secure assembled cover (3) with folding mechanism (6) against falling apart until it is firmly connected together by the gripping disk (13).
10	Insert sleeve (10) into cast iron bearing (2)
11	Install spring (11) above sleeve (10)
12	Install base (12) on spring (11)	Observe positioning (arrow).
13	Install gripping disk (13) on base (12)
14	Position counterplate (14) on cast iron bearing (2) from bottom		Fig 5
15	Screw thrust piece (15) into counterplate (14) with bolt (16) and nut (17)		Fig 5
16	Screw nut (17) fully down	This pushes the gripping disk (13) onto the sleeve (10)
17	Guide electric wiring harness (18) through sleeve (10)	Press electrical wiring harness (18) on folding mechanism (6) into bracket (arrows).
18	Guide electrical wiring harness (18) through cast iron bearing (2)
19	Moisten wiring harness passage on rubber grommet (19) with lubricant		see *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A
20	Guide electrical wiring harness (18) through rubber grommet (19)	Guide carefully to prevent rubber grommet (19) from being damaged by coupling housing (20, 22).
21	Clip white coupling housing (20) to long wiring harness tieout (21)
22	Clip black coupling housing (22) to short wiring harness tieout (23)
23	Insert foam rubber (24) into cast iron bearing (2)
24	Install rubber grommet (19) on cast iron bearing (2) in correct position
25	Press gripping disk (25) to cast iron bearing (2) with SW 10 socket wrench
26	Clip cap (26) into cover (3)
27	Install outside rearview mirror molding		see AR88.70-P-9040CY
