- Clip outer left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/1), center left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/2), inner left front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/3), inner right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/4), center right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/5) and outer right front PTS ultrasonic sensor (B8/6) into brackets on front bumper paneling (1).
- Route PTS wiring harness into front bumper basic carrier (5) and center impact absorber (13) as shown in picture and fix in place at specified attachment points (circles).
Previously check whether a decoupling ring (transparent silicon ring) is installed on all PTS ultrasonic sensors.
Vehicles with Parktronic system (PTS) code 220
- Arrest front bumper PTS connector (X26/27) in front bumper basic carrier (5) on right.
- Insert outer impact absorber (14) on right and left into front bumper basic carrier (5) and arrest (see arrow).
The outer impact absorbers (14) should arrest properly in the front bumper basic carriers (5).
- Insert reinforcement (15) into front bumper paneling (1), arrest and fasten with two expansion rivets (6).
The reinforcement (15) should arrest properly in the front bumper paneling (1) (see arrows).
- Insert center lower impact absorber (16) into front bumper paneling (1).
- Insert lower basic carrier (17) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest (see arrows).
The lower basic carrier (17) should arrest properly in the front bumper paneling (1).
- Fasten lower basic carrier (17) on right and left in front bumper paneling (1) with two expansion rivets (6) each.
- Hook check strap on towing eye cover (18) into front bumper paneling (1).
- Insert towing eye cover (18) into front bumper paneling (1) and arrest.
The towing eye cover (18) should arrest correctly in the front bumper paneling (1).
- Check whether seal (28) on left front fog lamp (E5/1) and right front fog lamp (E5/2) are seated correctly and close if necessary.
- Connect AMG wiring harness (27) for front fog lamp each to left front fog lamp (E5/1) and right front fog lamp (E5/2).
The left front fog lamp (E5/1) and right front fog lamp (E5/2) differ and are marked according to the vehicle side (arrows), the AMG wiring harness (27) for the front fog lamp should point toward the outside in the installed state.
- Insert left front fog lamp (E5/1) and right front fog lamp (E5/2) from front into front into front bumper paneling (1), align and fasten with 4.2 13 tapping screws (19).
The adjusting screw should be positioned at bottom.
Shown on left front fog lamp (E5/2).
Tighten 4.2X13 sheet metal screws (19) to torque of 3.5 Nm.
- Insert outer air ducting grate (20) on left and right into front bumper paneling (1), align and fasten with three tapping screws (21) each.
Tighten sheet metal screws (21) to torque of 2 Nm.
