Washer nozzle/washer nozzle hose heater, general 

The washer nozzle heater and the washer nozzle hose heater (with code (875) Heated windshield washer system) prevent the washer fluid in the washer nozzle and in the washer nozzle hose from freezing.

Function sequence for washer nozzle/washer nozzle hose heater 

The outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14) determines the outside temperature. The information is read in by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

At an outside temperature of T < 5°C, the washer nozzle heater (R2/1) and the washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11) (with code (875) Heated windshield washer system) are switched on by the front SAM control unit.

If the outside temperature increases to T > 8°C, the washer nozzle heater and the washer nozzle hose heater are switched off by the front SAM control unit.
