Kick-down, function - GF27.10-P-2010CWQ
TRANSMISSION 722.9 in MODEL 204.0 up to Model Year 8
Kickdown, function
The driver's wish for the maximum vehicle acceleration is met by the kickdown function.
The kickdown function is enabled as from a pedal travel at the accelerator pedal sensor (B37) > approx. 90 %.
The "Kick-down" signal is recorded by the accelerator pedal sensor, read in by the CDI control unit (N3/9) and via the drive train CAN passed on to the fully integrated transmission control unit (Y3/8n4).
Based on this information the fully integrated transmission control unit actuates the control solenoid valves so that upshifts and downshifts take place at an increased engine speed in order to achieve maximum performance.
