Task

The clutch control solenoid valve K2 is actuated by the fully integrated transmission control unit and influences the position of the regulating valve K2. The pressure in the multidisk clutch K2 depends on the position of the regulating valve and therefore on the geometry of the regulating valve K2 The clutch control solenoid valve K2 has a falling characteristic. This means that the oil pressure applied in the regulating valve K2 reduces as the actuation current increases. In limp-home mode of the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) all the control solenoid valves are de-energized. The clutch control solenoid valve K2 thus supplies maximum pressure.

Body

In the clutch control solenoid valve K2, a proportional solenoid converts the electrical signals from the fully integrated transmission control unit. The float needle can also be moved into intermediate positions as a result.

Function

The clutch control solenoid valve K2 assigns a proportional pressure to the current which is controlled by the fully integrated transmission control unit.
