Location

The control unit for the fully integrated transmission control is integrated into the control unit for the fully integrated transmission control and located in the automatic transmission.

Task General

With its own independent diagnosis system the fully integrated transmission control unit determines the current operating condition of the vehicle and controls all gear change sequences taking into account shift comfort and the driving situation.

Flash programming

The transmission control system in the control unit for the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) is flashable i.e. the complete software in the control unit can be changed (replaced). The software required for control unit programming is stored on the STAR DIAGNOSIS DAS update DVD ( iagnosis ssistance ystem).

CAN data bus

The control unit for the fully integrated transmission control is connected via the drive train CAN (CAN C) to the vehicle's CAN network, and exchanges data with other control units.

IMPORTANTImplementation dates and validities for code (B03) ECO start/stop function

Input and output signals

The following input signals are evaluated by the control unit for the fully integrated transmission control and the appropriate output signals are generated:

Direct input signals

Direct output signals

CAN input signals

Electronic selector lever module control unit (N15/5)

Electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)

Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4)

Steering column module control unit (N80)
