6 different functions can be selected via the selector lever and 3 different transmission modes can be selected at the automatic transmission mode button (S16/12).
Selector lever positions:
- P Park lock and start position
- R Reverse gear
- N Neutral and start position (no power transmission, vehicle can move freely)
- D Drive (all 7 forward gears are available)
- + Touch
: Upshift by one gear respectively The shift range is expanded simultaneously in transmission modes "C" and "S".
Press and hold : Direct change into gear range "D"
The shift range is displayed in the instrument cluster (A1). If the shift range is restricted, upshifts occur close to the engine cutoff speed.
- - Touch
: Shift down by one gear respectively The shift range is limited simultaneously in transmission modes "C" and "S".
Press and hold : The transmission changes into a shift range, from which the vehicle can be delayed favorably.
Automatic transmission mode button The following transmission modes can be selected:
- S Sport program (S)
- Start off in 1st gear for all driving situations
- c Comfort program (C)
- Start off in 2nd gear except in 1st gear shift range. The gear changes take place at lower engine speed.
- M Manual shift program (M)
- Direct selection by means of selector lever or steering wheel downshift button (S110/1), with code (428) Steering wheel shift buttons, and steering wheel upshift button (S111/1), with code (428) Steering wheel shift buttons
