Location
The sidebag units are located in the lower left and right section of the C-pillar.
Task
In the event of a side impact in the vicinity of the C-pillar, the sidebag units protect the rear passengers seated on the outside from injury.
Triggering is conducted by the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10) igniting the particular squib.
