Location 

The sidebag units are located in the outboard side of the driver and front passenger seat backrests.

Task 

If a side impact occurs in the door and B-pillar area, the sidebag units protect the driver or the front passenger from injury.

Triggering is conducted by the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10) igniting the particular squib.
