Door pressure sensor, component description - GF91.60-P-4061CW
MODEL 204.0 /2 up to Model Year 8
Illustrated on model 204.0
Location
The pressure sensors are located behind the particular door panel.
Task
To detect a side impact in the door area, the pressure sensors measure the air pressure values inside the doors. If the air pressure value increases significantly (e.g. when the door is pressed in from outside), the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10) triggers the respective sidebag or windowbag.
The pressure sensors carry out self-tests and transmit the result to the supplemental restraint system control unit. The measuring range and sensitivity of the pressure sensors are provided to the supplemental restraint system control unit upon request and it is checked whether they match the programmed equipment.
The production data of the pressure sensors can be read out via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
