Notes on installing brake pad wear sensor contact sensors - AH42.10-P-0003-01CW

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300, 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300, 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300, and 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

There is only one variant on the front axle:

One brake wear sensor on the right-hand side of the vehicle.

When replacing the brake pads, the brake wear sensor is to be mounted at the same position again.

The following variants exist at the rear axle:

No brake wear sensor or one brake wear sensor on the right-hand side of the vehicle.

IMPORTANT The brake wear sensor line or electrical connector must be routed or mounted as shown in the illustration.

For reason of replacement part simplification, the brake linings must be installed so that the brake wear sensors can be installed in the corresponding installation position.

The corresponding installation position of the brake wear sensors is available in the table below.
