General

With the enabling of repair solutions on wiring harnesses (in particular airbags, sidebags, windowbags as well as seat belt retractor wiring harnesses it is necessary to introduce a modified order placement routine for the procurement of safety-relevant components (SRC). The ordering formalities are essentially similar to the previously mentioned, theft-relevant components (DRT).

Procedure

Safety-relevant parts can only be ordered by quoting the vehicle identification number (observe parts ordering notes on replacement part microfiche).

The repair orders and invoices are to be filed in the known manner. All incoming orders for safety-relevant components are also automatically recorded in the vehicle documentation system.
