	Check
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. 	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
1	Check outside of ENGINE for oil leakage	Eliminate leaks prior to measuring oil consumption.
2.1	Carry out engine oil and filter change	In order to avoid false measurements, for example through fuel in engine oil, the engine oil has to be changed before each oil consumption measuring trip It is not necessary to change engine oil when driven less than 1000 km after the last oil change
3	Start engine and bring to operating temperature
4	Turn off engine
5	Weigh engine oil		AR18.00-P-0025-05QB
6	Conduct measurement run	Conduct test run over a measured distance of 250 km (if measurement carried out by workshop personnel) or 1000 km (if measurement carried out by customer). If the measurements are conducted by the workshop personnel, take into account operating conditions of the vehicle at the customer's.
7	Start engine and bring to operating temperature
8	Turn off engine
9	Weigh engine oil again and determine oil consumption	To prevent measurement errors, the new measurement must be carried out at the place of the first oil measurement.	AR18.00-P-0025-05QB
10	If engine oil consumption requires, refill engine oil or conduct repair operations	The oil consumption may be as much as 0.8 liter of oil over 1000 km. The corresponding repair measures must only be carried out if the oil consumption is higher than this.
