Maintain a waiting time of at least 5 minutes after switching off the engine until the engine oil has flowed back into the oil pan, otherwise not all the engine oil is extracted. Any quantity of oil remaining in the engine will result in an excess amount of oil being recorded after filling with the specified oil change quantity, which in turn may result in damage to the engine and the catalytic converter.
Engine oil should only be extracted when at operating temperature.
- Pull out oil dipstick and extract engine oil through the guide tube.
