Remove outer rear wheelhouse - AR63.10-P-0660-01CW

  1. Mark separation line on outer rear wheelhouse (1) (area A).
  2. Cut outer rear wheelhouse (1) along separation point using body saw (area A).

    IMPORTANT Do not damage C-pillar.

  3. Expose spot welds on outer rear wheelhouse (1) (areas B, C and D).

    Dimensions:

  4. Cut out spot welds on outer rear wheelhouse (1) using SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS ball cutter (areas B, C and D).

    IMPORTANT Remove or replace foam rubber element (arrow) if damaged.

  5. Remove damaged outer rear wheelhouse (1).
  6. Grind mating surfaces in cross-hatched areas down to bare metal using COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.

    IMPORTANT Grind spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Remove grinding and drill shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
