The fuel manifold is located between cylinder heads, on the injection valves.

Task

Injection valves should be supplied with equal amounts of fuel under all operating conditions.
Fuel pressure pulsation damping
Checking and relieving of the fuel pressure for diagnosis or assembly operation

The injection valves are installed in the fuel distribution tube with an O-ring and a retaining clamp.

The sealing ring for the pressure gauge connection is to be replaced after every opening.

Function

The pressure measuring connection with service valve makes it possible to test the fuel pressure for diagnostic purposes and to reduce the fuel pressure during installation work.

The fuel pressure damper reduces fuel pressure pulsation when strongly fluctuating injection quantities.
