Washer nozzle heater function sequence 

If the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) receives an outside temperature of T < 5 °C from the instrument cluster (A1), the spray nozzle heater (R2/1) and the spray nozzle hose heater (R2/11) are switched on by the front SAM control unit.

If the outside temperature determined by the instrument cluster rises to T > 8 °C, the spray nozzle heater and spray nozzle hose heater are switched off by the front SAM control unit.

Determining the outside temperature:

The front SAM control unit uses the outside temperature sensor (B14) to determine the outside temperature at any given moment and sends the value to the instrument cluster. This then corrects the value based on variables and returns it.
