Wiper system automatic speed reduction, function - GF82.30-P-4006CW

MODEL 204.0 except CODE (494) USA version up to Model Year 8

MODEL 204.2 up to Model Year 8

Function requirements

Automatic speed reduction function sequence

The circuit status is transmitted by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via chassis CAN.

The speed is transmitted by the instrument cluster (A1) to the front SAM control unit via interior CAN.

If the speed of the vehicle is reduced from v > 6 km/h to below v = 3 km/h, the front SAM control unit switches back the wiper motor (M6/1) one speed via wiper/inside rearview mirror LIN.

Function abort:

The speed reduction is canceled by turning the combination switch to another position or by operating the touch wiping or washing functions.

If the value of approx. v = 6 km/h is exceeded again as the vehicle speed increases, the front SAM control unit automatically switches the wiper motor back to the wiper speed set on the combination switch.
