Stop lamp actuation, function - GF82.10-P-3010CW

MODEL 204.0 /2 up to Model Year 8

General brake light actuation function sequence

The brake light actuation is comprised of several subfunctions.

These are:

Static brake light actuation

Function requirements:

Static brake light actuation function sequence

Actuation of the service brake is detected by the brake light switch (S9/1). It is read in directly by the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4).

The Electronic Stability Program control unit transmits the request "Brake light On" to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via chassis CAN.

The front SAM control unit transmits the request via interior CAN to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) (with code (550) Trailer hitch).

At the same time, the request "Brake light On" (circuit 54) is forwarded directly by the Electronic Stability Program control unit to the front SAM control unit and to the trailer recognition control unit. The signal is looped through in the front SAM control unit and forwarded to the rear SAM control unit.

The rear SAM control unit actuates the following components:

The trailer recognition control unit actuates the following components via the trailer socket (X58) (with code (550) Trailer hitch):

Flashing brake light actuation (adaptive brake lights)

Function requirements

Function sequence for flashing brake light actuation (adaptive brake lights)

The vehicle deceleration and the speed are read in by the Electronic Stability Program control unit.

In the event of an emergency stop, the Electronic Stability Program control unit sends a corresponding signal to the chassis CAN.

The front SAM control unit forwards this over the interior CAN to the rear SAM control unit. The rear SAM control unit actuates the brake lights and the center brake lamp with a frequency of f = 3 Hz for the duration of the signal (min. t = 1 s).

The emergency stop signal is reset if one of the following preconditions is fulfilled:
