Standing lamp actuation
Function requirements
- Circuit 30
- Exterior lights switch (S1) in standing lights position
Standing lamp actuation function sequence
The position of the exterior lights switch is read in by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via instrument panel LIN. The front SAM control unit forwards the switch-on request to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and to the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) (with code (550) Trailer hitch) via interior CAN.
The front SAM control unit actuates the following components:
- Left front standing light and parking light (E1e3) and right front standing light and parking light (E2e3)
- Left front standing light 2 (E1e12) and right front standing light 2 (E2e12)
- Front left side-marker lamp (E6/1) and front right side-marker lamp (E6/2) (
and
only)
The rear SAM control unit actuates the following components:
- Left brake light and taillight and parking light (E3e9) and right brake light and taillight and parking light (E4e9) (pulsed at 5 W)
- Inner left brake light and taillight (E3e10) and inner right brake light and taillight (E4e10) (in each case pulsed at 5 W)
- Left license plate lamp (E19/1) and right license plate lamp (E19/2)
- Left rear side-marker lamp (E6/3) in the left rear lamp unit (E3) and right rear side-marker lamp (E6/4) in the right rear lamp unit (E4)
The trailer recognition control unit actuates the following components via the trailer socket (X58) (with code (550) Trailer hitch):
- Taillight of trailer
- Trailer license plate lamp

Parking lights actuation function sequence
The position of the exterior lights switch is read in by the front SAM control unit via instrument panel LIN.
