Location

The instrument cluster is located in the instrument panel on the driver side.

Tasks

Receive, evaluate and transmit signals via chassis CAN and interior CAN for various operating requests, displays and warning messages
Actuate instrument illumination (A1e8) depending on:
- light sensor (B38/1) (without code (345) Rain sensor) or rain/light sensor (B38/2) (with code (345) Rain sensor)
- brightness sensor
- instrument illumination brightness control
Output of status indications and fault messages via multifunction display
Output acoustic warnings
The acoustic signals are generated as follows:
- Actuation of internal speaker:
  "Gong" at a frequency of f = 1 Hz
- Actuation of internal warning buzzer (A1h1):
  warning tone at a frequency of f = 2.5 Hz
- Actuation of turn signal lights function check, acoustic (A1h2): clicking sound
