Replace brake fluid - AP42.00-P-4280V

MODIFICATION NOTES

Bleed screw to central clutch operator *BA25.20-P-1001-01B 
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install and replace    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.  
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Opening engine hood, moving to upright position and closing   AR88.40-P-1000V
2 Undo cap of expansion reservoir for brake fluid    
3 Pump brake fluid out of the expansion reservoir for brake fluid    
4 Fill new brake fluid up to the "MAX" mark of the brake fluid expansion reservoir FLUID SPECIFICATION Brake fluid *BF42.10-P-1001-01A 
5 Connect brake fluid changing unit (01) to brake fluid expansion reservoir IMPORTANT Follow the operating instructions for the brake fluid changing unit (01).

6 Raise vehicle with lifting platform    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000V
7.1 Remove rear section of lower engine compartment paneling Vehicles with manual transmission  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Detach/attach lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105V
8 Replace brake fluid    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Carrying out bleeding operation IMPORTANT The new brake fluid must escape via the bleed hose free of bubbles. AR42.10-P-0010-02V 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw to brake caliper *BA42.10-P-1002-12P 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw to brake caliper *BA42.10-P-1002-10P 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw to central clutch operator *BA25.20-P-1001-01B 
9 Lower vehicle    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Lift/jack up vehicle   AR00.60-P-1000V
10 Detach brake fluid replacement unit (01) from expansion reservoir for brake fluid.    
11 Correct the fluid level in the brake fluid expansion reservoir FLUID SPECIFICATION Brake fluid *BF42.10-P-1001-01A 
12 Screw cap onto expansion reservoir for brake fluid
