Wheel speed sensor, location The left front RPM sensor (L6/1) and right front RPM sensor (L6/2) are mounted on the steering knuckle of the front axle. The left rear RPM sensor (L6/3) and right rear RPM sensor (L6/4) are mounted on the wheel carrier of the rear axle.
Wheel speed sensor, task The RPM sensor detects the rotational speed of the associated wheel and in each case makes available an alternating voltage signal the frequency of which is proportional to wheel speed.
Wheel speed sensor, design The active sensor consists of a housing and a sensor element. The sensor element works in accordance with the Hall principle.
