Press off, refit track rod on track arm - AR46.40-P-0200-01V

Step 2 ∠° 60

Press off 

  1. Undo self-locking nut from steering knuckle linkage (10a).
  2. SPECIAL TOOL Fit thrust piece (045) to steering knuckle linkage (10a).
  3. Pry off steering knuckle linkage (10a) using SPECIAL TOOL puller (044) and SPECIAL TOOL thrust piece (045).

    NOTES Avoid damaging the rubber boot, as otherwise lubricant will leak from the track rod joint. This results in increased wear.

  4. SPECIAL TOOL Remove puller (044) SPECIAL TOOL and thrust piece (045).

    Install 

  5. Clean tapered connection.

    NOTES Grease and oil must not come into contact with the cone or thread, as otherwise the steering knuckle linkage (10a) can work its way loose.

  6. Fit new self-locking nut and tighten, see TORQUE SPECIFICATION . Counter ball head with an Allen wrench if necessary.
