Remove and install refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor - AR83.30-P-5431V

MODEL 171.4 with CODE (580) Automatic air conditioning with CODE (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of explosion  from welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged. -
NOTES Conduct if air conditioning system is damaged or leaking All models AH83.30-N-0004-01A 
NOTES Protect air conditioning circuit and components from moisture when carrying out repair work All models fitted with air conditioning -
IMPORTANT Notes on handling refrigerant R134a Air conditioning system with refrigerant R134a AH83.30-N-0003-01A 
DANGER Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. -
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1000V
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/ rear-end door or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. -
2 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000V
3 Evacuate AC system IMPORTANTInstallation:  Evacuate, refill air conditioning system and check for proper operation and tightness. AR83.30-P-1760V 
4 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling at front   AR61.20-P-1105V
5 Disconnect electrical connector (1).    
6 Counterhold pipeline connection (2), unscrew refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) and remove All except model 171.473
IMPORTANT In model 171.473 there is a hexagon for counterholding in front of the refrigerant pressure sensor (B12).
IMPORTANTInstallation:  Replace sealing ring (3). Use compressor oil to wet thread on refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) and sealing ring (3).
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA83.30-P-1009-01D 
7 Seal opening on pipeline connection (2) using suitable sealing plug NOTES The opening of the pipeline connection (2) must be sealed, as otherwise penetrating dirt and moisture can damage the components connected to the refrigerant circuit.  
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Set of sealing plugs for air conditioning system *WH58.30-Z-1002-27A 
8 Install in the reverse order
