Removing and installing fuel level sensor - AR47.10-P-7000V

MODEL 171 with ENGINE 113.989, 271, 272

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install    
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

1.1 Close Vario roof IMPORTANT With Vario roof open.
IMPORTANT The fuel level sensor (B4) can only be removed if Vario roof is closed.
 
2 Empty fuel tank   AR47.10-P-4001V 
    FLUID SPECIFICATION Fuel tank capacity *BF47.10-P-1001-01A 
3 Remove top fuel tank cover   AR64.20-P-1080V
4 Remove fuel filter   AR47.20-P-5510V 
5 Press together catch springs (3) and detach fuel level sensor (B4) toward top IMPORTANT Ensure that the linkage of the fuel level sensor (B4) is not bent.
IMPORTANTInstallation:  The electrical contacts latch automatically, if the fuel level sensor (B4) is pushed in up to the stop.
 
6 Install in the reverse order
