  1. Expose spot welds on outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) (areas A, B, C, D, E and E1 ).
  2. Cut spot welds out on outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas A, B, C, D, E and E).
  3. Mark separation lines on outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (areas F and G).
  4. Separate outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) along separation point with body saw (area F).

  5. Expose spot welds on outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) (areas H, I, J, K, L and M).
  6. Cut out spot welds on outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas H, I, J, K, L and M).
  7. Expose spot welds and weld on side longitudinal member cover (2) (areas N, O and P).
  8. Cut out spot weld on side longitudinal member cover (2) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or k spherical milling cutter (areas N and P).
  9. Separate weld on side longitudinal member cover (2) with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (areas O).
  10. Remove outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) and side longitudinal member cover (2)
  11. Separate outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1) on separation point with body saw (area G).
  12. Remove damaged section from outer B-pillar with side longitudinal member (1)

  13. Mark separation lines on reinforcement (3) (areas R and S).
  14. Cut separation points on reinforcement (3) with body saw (areas R and S).
  15. Expose spot welds on reinforcement (3) (area Q).
  16. Cut out spot welds on reinforcement (3) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS spherical milling cutter (area Q).
  17. Remove damaged reinforcement (3)

  18. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  19. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  20. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

  21. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in the shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  22. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  23. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
