Remove/install pull cable for engine hood - AR88.40-P-3100V

	Remove/install
1	Remove paneling in left footwell		AR68.30-P-4010V
2	Unhook rear release cable (1) from engine hood release lever
3	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position	Installation:  Before closing the engine hood check for proper function: When the engine hood is open lock engine hood locks with screwdriver and then unlock engine hood locks with engine hood release lever.	AR88.40-P-1000V
4	Unclip distributor housing (2) from longitudinal member (9) and open cover (3) with suitable screwdriver.
5	Unhook rear release cable (1) from distributor (5)
6	Pull rear release cable (1) with rubber grommet (4) through firewall into passenger compartment.	Installation:  Apply lubricant to rubber grommet (4) and guide from vehicle interior through firewall into engine compartment. Ensure that rubber grommet (4) is seated properly and that rear release cable (1) is routed correctly between water drain duct (8) and longitudinal member (9).

7	Remove left engine hood lock		AR88.40-P-3200V
8	Guide release cable (6) through front end (10) and unhook at distributor (5).
9	Remove right engine hood lock		AR88.40-P-3200V
10	Unclip right release cable (7) from mounts (arrows), guide through front end (10) and unhook from distributor (5).	Installation:  Ensure that release cable (7) is seated properly in mounts (arrows).
11	Install in the reverse order
