Remove/install hinge lever for trunk lid - AR88.50-P-5120V

REMOVING Remove    
DANGER Risk of injury  to fingers being jammed or pinched  when Remove/install or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/tailgate or sliding roof. When moving components, ensure that no body parts or limbs are within the operating range of moving parts. -
1.1 Open trunk lid (3) When removing left hinge lever (2).  
2.1 Unscrew bolt (4) When removing left hinge lever (2).  
3.1 Unscrew nuts (5) When removing left hinge lever (2).  
4.1 Remove trunk lid wiring harness (7) together with wiring harness bracket (6) from left hinge lever (2) When removing left hinge lever (2).  
5.1 Close trunk lid (3) When removing left hinge lever (2).
NOTES When closing the trunk lid (3) ensure that the trunk lid wiring harness (7) is not pinched and, thereby, damaged.
 
6 Move trunk lid (3) to assembly position and secure   AR88.50-P-5000-01V

DANGER Injury hazard  Gas-operated struts are under high pressure and can pinch and crush body parts during work Only remove and install gas-operated struts in the relaxed position and when the components are secured properly. -
7 Lift retainer (8) and remove gas-operated strut (9) from left hinge lever (2) or right hinge lever (1) IMPORTANT Gas-operated strut (9) is under slight tension.  
8 Unscrew nuts (10)    
9.1 Remove bolts (11) When removing left hinge lever (2).  
9.2 Remove bolts (12) When removing right hinge lever (1).  
10 Remove left hinge lever (2) or right hinge lever (1) from tubular frame    
INSTALLING Install     
11 Position left hinge lever (2) or right hinge lever (1) between trunk lid (3) and tubular frame    
12.1 Position bolts (11), position wiring harness holder (6) on left hinge lever (2) and tighten bolts (11) with associated nuts When installing left hinge lever (2).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.50-P-1010-01A 
13.1 Tighten bolt (4) When installing left hinge lever (2).  
14.1 Tighten bolts (12) with associated nuts When installing right hinge lever (1).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.50-P-1010-01A 
15 Screw on nuts (10) IMPORTANT Tighten nuts (10) only slightly, do not finger-tighten.  
16.1 Install trunk lid wiring harness (7) on left hinge lever (2) When installing left hinge lever (2).  
DANGER Injury hazard  Gas-operated struts are under high pressure and can pinch and crush body parts during work Only remove and install gas-operated struts in the relaxed position and when the components are secured properly. -
17 Clip gas-operated strut (9) to left hinge lever (2) or right hinge lever (1)    
18 Remove support SPECIAL TOOL Figure
19 Swing trunk lid (3) down and lock in trunk lid lock    
20 Switch on ignition, close trunk lid (3) completely with Vario roof actuation switch    
21 Switch off ignition    
22 Check adjustment of trunk lid (3), adjust if required IMPORTANT Refer to: ↓  
    Adjust trunk lid (3) AR88.50-P-5200V 
23 Tighten nuts (10) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA88.50-P-1014-01A
