	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid	Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.	-
1	Detach left air intake hose
2	Extract oil from expansion reservoir of power steering pump	Before opening the hydraulic system the area surrounding the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system.

	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
3	Raise vehicle with vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-1000V
4	Remove engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105V
5	Remove bolts (6) for retaining clamps (5) on rack-and-pinion steering (2) and front axle carrier (1).		*BA46.30-P-1009-01D
6	Remove bolt (4), detach return line (30g) and high pressure line (30i) from rack-and-pinion steering (2).	Installation:  Install new O-ring and support ring for high pressure line (30i) and new O-ring for return line (30g).
		Seal connections at rack-and-pinion steering (2), high pressure line (30i), and return line (30g) with stop plugs.

7	Disconnect return line (30g) at clamp (3).
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Fill power steering pump and bleed		AR46.30-P-0010V
10	Check function of power steering and for leaks
