On vehicles with ground connections (3, 4) or optional ground connections (1, 2) between rear window and body, do not paint over cutouts.
- Check window for scratches and damage.
- Fasten electrical connectors from inside or outside of window with adhesive tape, depending on version.
- Level remaining adhesive on window with suitable scraper down to a height of approximately 2 mm, remove loose remaining adhesive.
- Repair damaged primer layer on widow with primer included in repair kit.
When using previously installed window
Primer must flash off for at least 10 minutes. Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.
- Clean window.
When using a new window
- Apply cleaner (activator) from repair kit to gluing area on window and rub dry with rag.
When using a new window
Allow primer to air-dry for min. 10 minutes.
- Coat gluing area on window with primer included in repair kit (with max. 20 mm).
When using a new window
Allow primer to air-dry for min. 10 minutes.
