Component change for retaining clip

Steps 2 and 11

	Remove
1	Switch on ignition, open Vario roof with power soft top switch Then switch off ignition	The Vario roof should stop moving before the trunk lid starts to close and the rear shelf main flap (2) is positioned vertically.
2	Remove retaining clip (3) and unclip pull/push actuation (4) from side flap mount (6)
3	Unscrew bolt (5) and remove rear shelf side flap (1) together with side flap mount (6)
4.1	Mark installation position of spacers (7)	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6)
5.1	Remove bolts (8)	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6)
6.1	Remove rear shelf side flap (1) from side flap mount (6)	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6) Observe spacers (7)
7.1	Remove spacers (7)	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6)
	Install
8.1	Position spacers (7) on side flap mount (6) and glue on with sealant or similar and secure against falling down	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6) Position spacers (7) so that they can be removed when adjusting the rear shelf side flaps (1) later. Pay attention to installation markings.
9.1	Position rear shelf side flap (1) on side flap mount (6) and screw in bolts (8)	Only when replacing rear shelf side flap (1) or side flap mount (6) Tighten bolts (8) only until rear shelf side flap (1) is fastened. Tighten bolts (8) after checking and correcting adjustment of rear shelf side flap (1)
10	Position side flap mount (6) with rear shelf side flap (1) on installation location and tighten with bolt (5)	Replace bolt (5)

11	Install pull/push actuation (4) on flap mount (6) and install retaining clip (3)	On vehicles up to vehicle identification number 032031: Replace retaining clip (3), unless a new version of retaining clip (3) has been installed
	Retaining clips for right pull/push actuation on side flaps changed	Vehicles as of vehicle identification number 032032	BT77.30-P-6340-01V
12	Check adjustment of rear shelf side flap (1), correct if necessary		AR77.30-P-6373V
