Remove/install side paneling in trunk - AR68.30-P-4800R

MODEL 230.4 with CODE (P99) "AMG Black Series" special model

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
1 Completely close Vario roof    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever  extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when components are in motion. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
2 Positioning trunk lid to assembly position   AR88.50-P-5000-01R
3 Remove trunk partition IMPORTANT Vehicles up to 28.2.06:  
    Remove/install trunk retractable partition AR68.50-P-3000R 
4 Unscrew concealed bolt (arrow) on left or right trunk partition mount (17) and remove trunk partition mount (17) toward rear. On vehicles as of 1.3.06  
5 Remove paneling from rear center section   AR68.30-P-4785R 
6 Remove hazard warning triangle cover (3) and remove hazard warning triangle (4). When removing left trunk paneling (1).  
7 Unclip left access opening cover (5) or right access opening cover (6) and remove.    
8 Disconnect electrical connector (7) from trunk partition "closed" limit switch (S69/10) When removing right trunk paneling (2).
IMPORTANT Access to the electrical connector (7) is accomplished via the access opening below the right access opening cover (6).
 
9.1 Unscrew bolt (8) and remove trunk partition bracket (9). When removing left trunk paneling (1).  
9.2 Unscrew bolt (10) and remove trunk partition "closed" limit switch (S69/10) When removing right trunk paneling (2).  
10 Remove left Y fasteners (15) or right Y fasteners (16).    
11 Remove expansion clips (11) and screw clips (12).    
12 Loosen left trunk paneling (1) or right trunk paneling (2) from trunk lid seal (13). IMPORTANTInstallation:  Ensure that the trunk lid seal (13) is seated correctly.  
13 Pull left trunk paneling (1) or right trunk paneling (2) over support (14) and remove.    
14 Install in the reverse order
