Adjust roll bar - AR91.50-P-9200R

	Removing
	Injury hazard  when performing check and repair work in area of rollover bar	Extend roll bar before working in the roll bar area Keep body parts away from the moving area of the roll bar mechanical system.	AS91.00-Z-0003-01R
1	Fully open Vario roof using Vario roof switch
2	Use the roll bar switch to fully lower the roll bar (1)
3	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
4	Remove left and right rear side paneling		AR68.30-P-4780R
	Adjust
5	Detach bolts (2, 3)
6	Insert plastic wedge (8) between toothed rack and housing of right support element (4)	The plastic wedge (8) eliminates the play on the right support element (4).

7	Adjust height of roll bar (1) with the aid of an assistant and hold roll bar	Set the roll bar (1) such that it exhibits the same height as that of the rear shelf in the transition area (arrows) to the rear shelf (6).
8	Tighten bolts (2) and remove plastic wedge (8)	First tighten the rear bolt and then the front bolt (2).

9	Raise roll bar (1) mechanically		AR91.50-P-8400R
10	Push roll bar (1) forward while tightening bolts (3) at the same time	Push roll bar (1) as far forward as possible until play is no longer noticeable. First tighten the rear bolt and then the front bolt (3).

11	Switch on ignition and check function of roll bar (1)	When doing so, raise and lower roll bar (1) several times using the roll bar switch.
	Install
12	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
13	Install left and right rear side paneling		AR68.30-P-4780R
