Risk of breakage!  Do not kink fiber optic cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or tie straps.

1. If present, remove MOST coupling (13) from standard COMAND coupling (14).

2. If available, install MOST coupling (13) into COMAND adapter coupling (12) of interface wiring harness (10).
3. Connect standard COMAND coupling (14) to COMAND adapter connector (11) of interface wiring harness (10).
4. Wrap felt tape around COMAND adapter connector (11).

   COMAND adapter coupling (12) of interface wiring harness (10) will be connected to COMAND control unit later on. Interface coupling (9) of the interface wiring harness (10) will be connected to the iPod interface later on.
