Remove/install the suspension strut - AR32.25-P-1017SY

	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
	Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system
	Notes on Active Body Control suspension		AH32.50-P-0001-01N
1	Remove front wheel
	Take off/fit on wheel		AP40.10-P-4050SX
2	Relieve pressure in each suspension strut (40) via the bleed screw (56)		AR32.50-P-0001-01N
3	Separate the quick-release coupling (40b) using the release tool	Ensure that dirt does not get into the open quick-release fitting (40b) as this can lead to the failure of the ABC system. Installation:  Ensure that the quick-release coupling (40b) latches completely.	Fig 4
4	Unscrew sheet metal nuts (40d) and remove the bracket (18)
5	Unscrew nut (40a) on spring control arm (17)		*BA32.25-P-1007-04L
6	Press suspension strut (40) out of spring control arm (17) using puller and thrust piece	Model 221 with nut (40a) M14

7	Unscrew nuts (40c)	Installation:  In the case of repair the black reinforcement (40e), if still fitted, should be replaced by a silver reinforcement (40e). Installation:  Replace nuts (40c). In the case of repair, the threaded pins must be fitted using Loctite 2701. When installing a new suspension strut (40) without microencapsulated threaded studs these must be fitted with Loctite.

8	Remove suspension strut (40) downwards	Do not damage boot on suspension strut (40). If necessary: ↓
		Dispose of suspension strut.	OS32.25-P-0122-01N
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Fill and bleed ABC system		AR32.50-P-0021SX
11	Carry out plunger travel calibration using STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing the suspension strut (40)
